Cervical cancer screening just got smarter
Florence Pathology Services is pleased to announce that we have started
performing HPV testing in-house. The Cervista HPV HR test from Hologic, the
makers of the ThinPrep Pap Test, is more sensitive and more specific than other
available tests. Please refer to the attached sheet for additional information.
**This test can only be performed on specimens collected by the ThinPrep method.

To request a screening
HPV test or to indicate you would like HPV testing if the pap result is LGSIL
simply indicate that on the requisition form and provide an ICD code.
